Bran diet rice is obtained by peeling and cleaning the paddy from the glumes according the technique. In other words, the bran on the rice is kept. Although bran rice can be made from each rice, bran Baldo rice is preferred.
It should be consumed in a shorter time than other rice and should be put into cloth package. Bran rice is nutritive and preferred for health. Cooking time of the bran rice is longer than normal rice and it absorb more water. It should be kept in the water for 2-3 hours before start to cook. It has a specific taste and odour.
